Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and JobLens for your use of joblens.ai and the JobLens service. By creating an account you agree to them. Please read them; they include limits on our liability.

1. The service

JobLens provides AI-assisted tools for job seekers: CV scoring and optimization, document generation (cover letters, supporting statements), job search, application tracking and interview preparation. The AI produces suggestions and drafts; you are responsible for checking that anything you submit to an employer is accurate and truthful. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers or any particular outcome.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 and provide accurate information.
• Keep your password and sign-in links private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Do not share accounts or resell access.

3. Plans, payments and cancellation

• The Free plan includes a monthly allowance of AI optimizations. Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the prices shown on the pricing page, including VAT where applicable.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period and are not charged again.
• If a renewal payment fails we will tell you and retry for a few days. If payment cannot be taken your account moves to the Free plan.
• Because digital content is delivered immediately, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or the service was unavailable for a sustained period through our fault — in which case contact us and we will put it right.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or that you do not have the right to use.
• Use the service to create false qualifications, fabricated employment history or otherwise deceive employers.
• Attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, or use automated tools to scrape or bulk-generate content.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.

5. Your content and our content

You own the CVs and other content you provide, and the documents generated from them for your own use. You grant us a licence to store and process that content only to provide the service. The JobLens software, design, text and branding are ours; you may not copy or reuse them.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for the service to be available continuously but do not guarantee it. We may add, change or remove features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what a paid plan includes.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of earnings, opportunities, profits or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. The service is provided "as is"; AI output may contain errors and must be checked before use.

8. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Privacy. We may close accounts for breach of these terms or if we withdraw the service, with notice where practicable.

9. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales (or your local courts if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland). If any part is unenforceable the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept it.
